Mark Hamilton has been with Aphasia Therapy Products for over 15 years and has worked his way up from an entry level programmer to full partner / Executive Programmer. Mark started out working for Bill Pitts right after high school (Cleveland St. Ignatius - go Wildcats!) when he first started attending Cleveland State University. Bill, at that point in search for a programmer, found Mark wandering the halls of the College of Education playing on the Macintoshes and generally annoying the all the professors. Mark took on the programming challenge offered by Bill and CHAT because a computerized reality. In the beginning Mark and Bill converted Bill's original Tandy(tm) programs over to IBM BasicA(tm) format. Later the programs were converted to HyperCard(tm) format - to make use of the Macintosh's rich graphical environment - now, the programs are all Macromedia flash and web based. All the sounds were recorded, digitally processed and the overall product was brought into a more useful and universal format. During all this programming, sound editing, speech therapy philosophy from Bill, Mark managed to get his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio. Mark currently is working as a freelance Electrical Design Engineer and is working on the development and constant improvement of newer C.H.A.T. programs with Bill. |
